Still, many of us do not ingest enough water each day, leaving our bodies in a short supply of this vital fluid. 1. Your mouth feels dry

It is a much more obvious symptom than its consequences. Of course, when you experience this sensation you are looking for some liquid, but sweet drinks, for example, only provide a temporary solution to the problem. Drinking water lubricates the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat, so the moisture remains, as it should be.

2. You have dry skin

The skin is the largest organ in your body, and it also needs moisture. Dry skin is one of the first symptoms of complete dehydration that can have much more serious consequences. Lack of water also means a lack of sweat, which is reflected in the inability of the body to clean itself (in addition to urine) and let excess fat escape, not to mention the thermoregulatory function of sweat. Solving all that is very simple: drink more water.

3. You feel too thirsty

It is not the same as having a dry mouth. Anyone who has had a hangover knows what it feels like to be unable to fill up on water, even after drinking a lot. Alcohol dehydrates the body and the brain sends out warning signals. Listen to your body, the body knows what it needs.

Joints and cartilaginous discs are made up of 80% water, and this is necessary so that our bones do not rub against each other at every step. By maintaining the balance of hydration in the body, the joints can absorb shocks produced by sudden and / or strong movements such as running or falling.

Drinking water before, during, and after workouts and physical activities is not only necessary to feel good, but is also very important to reduce the likelihood of inflammation and pain related to exercise.

Water constantly helps to remove toxins from the body. Your organs work as one when it comes to filtering what they don’t need, but without water, that mechanism cannot function properly. We have already talked about how important it is to moisturize the oral mucosa, and that has to do with the entire digestive system. Without the necessary moisture, the density of the stomach lining is reduced, and that allows gastric acid to damage your internal organs, leading to what we commonly call heartburn and indigestion.

11. You have symptoms of premature aging

The amount of water that our body can contain decreases with age. When we age it is necessary to conscientiously increase our water consumption. Although the symptoms of premature aging are more evident on the outside, the damage that dehydration causes to internal organs will take its toll in the long term.
